New Hampshire Primary

I've been to New Hampshire and it is a beautiful and amazing state. The people of the that state have a chance to make Presidential history by electing Sen Obama in today's Presidential primary.

If the gentleman from Illinois wins today then history suggests that he will then move on to capture the Democratic Party's nomination for President of the United States of America! The candidate who has won both opening primaries have for 100% of the time eventually faced off in the general election as that parties nominee.

So I wish the Senator the best today and I hope today is one more stride towards history!!!

Go Barack!!!

Buddhist Thought

Play your part in the comedy, but don't identify yourself with your role!
- Why Lazurus Laughed by Wei Wu Wei

We all know people who act stupidly and absolutely foolishly! Sometimes, the fool is even ourselves.

I've seen the humor in my own negative and positive choices. Trust, there are many, many, many, many, many examples I could give but in all honesty that's way too much to cover in this short post! The lesson today seems to be that the person who plays the fool in these situations always ends up being myself. Yet and still, I'd like to think I've learned and grown from all of it.

Presently, I endeavor to make choices that allow me to chuckle with pride rather than blush with embarrassment!

This lion cub wants to be King of His own Forest one day!! Hopefully, I've grown up enough so that I can give up the roll of Court Jester/Clown/Fool/Servant.

But yet the question remains:

Even though I can see my Kingdom/How shall I earn my Crown???

Obama 2008

Last night Barack Obama won the Iowa Caucus by almost nine percent. Sounding a resounding note of change through politics in America.

He also did a few other things last night when thanking Iowans for voting him.

During his speech he touched on many possible changes during his administration. The one that stuck out to me was when he said he would "bring our troops home".

Recently, I personally have been waiting to hear those words come out a candidates mouth before FULLY committing my vote, time and effort to they're causes!

That changes today as I throw my non-considerable political weight behind Senator Obama. To listen to this man is to believe that positive change can happen in America. His words and vision seeks to overturn the damage done by this last President, our Countries wars and big business.

And with Oprah backing Barack how can he fail?

With ten months to go until the polls open I've already cast my vote!!!

For me it's Barack Obama in 2008!!!!!!!!

Buddhist Thought of the Week

To comprehend and to understand God above all similitudes, as He is in Himself, is to be God with God, without intermediary, and without any otherness that can become a hindrance or an intermediary. Whosoever wishes to understand this must have died to himself, and must live in God, and must turn his gaze to the eternal light in the ground of his spirit, where the Hidden Truth reveals Itself without means. - Ruysbroek

Merry Christmas Everyone

Christmas Eve

This last year has sped by so fast. And here we are at another Christmas Eve.

Today I'm feeling depressed, unmotivated and sad. I know there are people who are concerned and who love me out there but during holidays it's easy to slip into these type of feelings.

It doesn't help that two of the three people I thought I was dating have basically told me that we were in fact not dating. Anders said i was moving to fast (when in all honesty I know I wasn't) and Todd told me two days ago all he wanted from me was sex. And if someone asked me where things stood with Keith stood, I wouldn't be able to because I don't know.

This Christmas I am still single but I won't be alone during this holiday. My plans will take over to the East Bay and I'll be spending it at another friend named Keith.

Tonight, I'll be having dinner with my boss and he always cooks up an amazing meal!

I'm trying to brighten up my own mood by staying busy and surrounding myself with friends and people who care for me.

Ultimately, isn't that what the holidays are about?

Buddhist thought for the Week

You are now in control of your life. You see, the ego is never in control. The ego is controlled by wishes for comfort and convenience on the part of the body, by demands of the mind, and by outbursts of the emotions. But the higher nature controls the body and the mind and the emotions. I can say to my body, "Lie down there on that cement floor and go to sleep," and it obeys. I can say to my mind, "Shut out everything else and concentrate on this job before you," and it's obedient. I can say to my emotions, "Be still, even in the face of this terrible situation," and they are still. It's a different way of living. The philosopher Thoreau wrote: If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps he hears a different drummer. And now you are following a different drummer--the higher nature instead of the lower. - Peace Pilgrim

Pictures From Last Few Days

When It Rains

The last few days have been very interesting for me on the dating front.

I guess it could be said that currently I am dating three different and very cool guys.

First there is Anders. He lives over the bridge in the East Bay and last night was spent with him at his home. He works with plants and designing outdoor spaces. There is much about him that appeals to me. He's also the youngest of the three at 34 years.

Next would be Todd. He's a red headed actor and surprised me this past Sunday when we woke up and he told me he was going to church. Todd is 41 years old.

Finally, Keith. He's the one I've known the longest. Ten years and counting! He's also the one I feel the safest around. Keith is 44 years old.

When it rains, it pours!!

Time will tell if any of them will last long. But I wont know unless I try.

On that note I need to call Todd because I didn't get the chance to speak with him last night.

Until Later!!!!

The only real service we can render to that which we perceive and interpret in phenomenal existence as 'others' is by awakening to universal consciousness ourselves. - Ask the Awakened by Wei Wu Wei

Jury Duty

After putting off jury duty for more than three months, today was the day that I reported to the court house.

Thankfully, my day there didn't start until the early afternoon. And after waiting around for only a hour and a half, I was told my services were not required. That was the best thing that could have happened as far as I'm concerned.

All in all a very good day!

Tonight, Damon has a date!!!!

My Week

This week has passed by rather quickly and without incident. Over all it's been uneventful and I've not managed to do a lot other than my normal building duties along with making music and taking photographs.

My creative juices are flowing and it feels great to create new tracks and photos.

I've been eating more recently. I'm not sure if it's because I'm burning more calories at the gym or if I'm just enjoying food more these days. My weight is unchanged however so I guess no harm/no foul!!

Sol is supposed to come back to SF on the morrow. Hopefully he does because I am so looking forward to seeing him! Time will tell and I'm guessing I'll know by this time tomorrow evening!!

Not much else to report Ladies & Gents!! So I say good evening...

&

Until we next chat again..

Good night!!
