Buddhist Thought

As irrigators lead water where they want, as archers make their arrows straight, as carpenters carve wood, the wise shape their minds.

BUDDHIST THOUGHT

THERE ARE ONLY TWO MISTAKES
ONE CAN MAKE
ALONG THE ROAD TO TRUTH:
1. NOT GOING ALL THE WAY AND
2. NOT STARTING.

Buddhist Thought

The wise ones fashioned speech with their thought, sifting it as grain is sifted through a sieve.

BUDDHIST THOUGHT

Just as treasures
are uncovered from the earth,
so virtue appears from good deeds,
and wisdom appears from
a pure and peaceful mind.
To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom
 and the guidance of virtue.

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.

Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it.

If you can, help others, if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them.

Buddhist Thought

Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others. He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind.

REST IN PEACE TOMMY

AN OLD FRIEND PASSED VERY RECENTLY.
Our recent encounters had been brief. He looked great however, and the cute/protective dog I saw him paling around with was a fine fit. That was over a year ago.
We were friends for well over ten times that amount. I hope his next life is even better than this one!

Finally:
EVERYTHING ENDS. FRIENDSHIPS LOVE HATE SADDNESS HAPPINESS. EVERYTHING. DESPITE THIS FACT LIFE SPRINGS ETERNAL AND NEW BECAUSE EVERYTHING ENDS.

Buddhist Thought

There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophies. My brain and my heart are my temples, my philosophy is kindness.

Buddhist Thought

The only real failure in life is not to be true to the best one knows.

All that we are
is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him.
If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him,
like a shadow that never leaves him.
